The project was coordinated by the Kitchen Sisters and Jay Allison who also do Lost and Found Sounds which has produced a number of amazing stories including one on WHER, the first all-girl radio station.
Allison also runs the Transom, an online community and showcase of public radio. It has a discussion area for This American Life which has done some excellent related programs including Before and After and Somewhere in the Arabian Sea on life aboard the aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis.
