Where Fear And Weapons Meet - Control
Published February 20, 2003
I love Eulogy Recordings. Nothing they've ever sent me has been crappy. And that's saying a lot. You wouldn't believe some of the boring, rehashed, it's-been-done-before (yet beautifully produced and packaged) steaming piles of crap that I receive in the mail for reviewing. But not from Eulogy. Where Fear and Weapons Meet's Control came in the mail the other day. I was excited.
WFAWM bring straight up hardcore with plenty of gang vocals, sing alongs, and old school 1-2's. Straightforward hardcore bands are few and far between these days, but who knows, if bands this good keep releasing records, we could have a revival. Even if not, WFAWM bring something inspirational to the scene.
Between the old school breakdowns, and the endless opportunities for circle pits, the lyrics that are shouted at you just make you want to raise your fist, grab the mic, and scream along.
The guitar work is tight, the drums sound amazing, the vocals are energetic and motivating. The CD artwork is hot. There's nothing bad I can say about this record. Go buy it now. Then shut the door to your bedroom and floorpunch to your heart's content.

Would have been nicer if I could listen to songs from Control as well, since you say it's promising. However, I listened to some songs from Unstoppable, and they are not bad.
