Matrix Reloaded: Tanked
Published May 19, 2003
I was wondering what happened to Tank, they made mention of him dying, but I swore he survived in part 1. Well here's some light shed on the subject:
It's not clear why the actor, the 35-year-old adopted son of recently smoked-out comedian Tommy Chong, did not return for the sequels. In previous reports about the Link-for-Tank move, neither Warners nor Chong commented on his absence.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Chong copped to crashing a press junket, snatching food from production offices and crank-yanking the Wachowskis. All of this bad behavior, though, came after Chong had already been unloaded from Reloaded.

I remember years ago reading a letter from the actor in which he rambled, threatened, and otherwise made himself out to be somewhat psychotic, but it basically came down to, in the actor's own words, a matter of him wanting twice as much money as they were willing to pay. He overestimated his worth to the franchise and underestimated the ease with which his character could be excised from the script. Perrineau is a much better actor for the role of operator, in my book. I had just watched Romeo+Juliet again days before seeing The Matrix: Reloaded and was quite surprised to see him there.
please send me the script for Knox's Reloaded 3
Ty = Thank you... well
Ty if you cna send it to me.

The movie producers didn't comment on why he did not appear in Reloaded but he is now sueing them, he says that he was promised a spot in reloaded.
