This 3 in 1 collection is well organized, content heavy and convenient for gamers on the go who want to hone their sudoku, crosswords and/or solitaire playing skills.
Travel Games for Dummies features several levels containing sudoku, crosswords and solitaire, all of which except crosswords are available separately on the PC (Brain Training and Poker also available). Each game is familiar in general, but the types will be new to most players. For example, the solitaire game types include Klondike (the standard...
The best looking shooter on the 360 may also be the best playing one.
The first Gears of War was somewhat of a surprise hit. Helped by its cutting-edge graphics, smart advertising campaign, and somewhat innovative cover system it went on to sell 5 million copies. It was the Xbox 360’s first true “killer app”. It was one of the reasons I purchased my system a year ago, though I have never quite got...
Rise Against, one of America’s most popular hardcore bands, has released one of the best albums of 2008 with Appeal To Reason. The album is the group’s third major studio release, following up on their 2006 hit album, The Sufferer & the Witness. The band has one of the most distinct sounds from the punk-rock genre, combining musical...
Fortunately, unlike me, Thunder mainstays Danny Bowes and Luke Morley just seem to get better and better with the passing of time.Readers outside the UK might not realise the place that Thunder hold in the hearts of British rock fans,...
A unique perspective of the evolution of jazz and blues over the last fifty-five years.
When Bob Koester started selling old jazz and blues recordings scrounged from second-hand stores out of a box in his college dormitory back in the early 1950s I doubt he would have believed it you if you told him that years later he would not only still be selling records, but would also be the owner of one of the oldest independent record labels...
Well, for 58 minutes I was pretty bored by this week’s episode of Gossip Girl. One week of zero Chuck/Blair interaction is a felony. Two straight weeks is a capital offense. If I’m supposed to get my weekly sexual sizzle from Serena and Aaron, this show is in serious trouble.
Death metal meets traditional Arabic music.
Like a cat, my curiosity was well and truly aroused. This is a band that combines death metal with Arabic sounds, scales, and influences. It has been done before - Orphaned Land is a notable example - but Arkan seem to take it a step or two beyond.Death metal storms into Morocco; crushing riffs meet traditional instruments like the mandola.
